Good memories never fade @ Vietnam

There are people whom you meet in your life. Some leave an impressive marks in your mind and heart, some just a passer by.

During my stay in Vietnam, there are lots of awesome people who I meet, from my host family, to my FTU Hanoi OC members and even to friendly strangers on the roads.

My host brother, Thang, whom I share a same roof with him, over the period of 1 month. He has a great smile and always show great concern to me. I salute his flair in playing piano and have made a good achievement in piano. Really like the song ‘ the moon represent my heart’ which is so classic and yet so soothing, and we will sing and play this song together again!
Sharing the same bed, food, story, music, joy, I find my night never boring with him and I know he finds his night never scary with me ( the after effect of conjuring =p) ..but anyway, I know he still has his meow meow which in love with my luggage and blanket to be with his side every night! xD
Being the ‘Xe Om’ in the bike with him, I never forget about how crazy the traffic we have been through, from Tay Mo to FTU every morning beating the traffic and passing by the pros_ area with the word disg_ xD
My stay with him is always an awesome one, with his younger brother, Thu and his parents who care for me. Not forgetting about his big family with his cousin brothers like Vinh, Heng, Huy, Kuang, etc etc (sorry If I mis-spell the name) who are friendly and really cool to have fun with, especially the moment of playing Chinese chess together. I wish I could have more time with them!

Vivu. He is one of the awesome few buddy who I meet in Hanoi. A guy with friendly approach, kind, simple loves to do crazy stunts, have a love in doing his own things he like, hardworking and showing great progress ,and have a lovely fun family!
1 month is definitely a short one and I wish I could have spent more time with him, sharing about philosophy and belief ,talking about English pronunciation, learning some Chinese characters and speaking, learn and sing the nostalgic song which sparks our childhood memories, and having awesome trips and travel around the globe!

Thank you for the moment shared together, buddy! Wish you a huge success in your future, and don't forget about the 2 songs we enjoy!

There are really a lots more awesome people whom I met during my 1 month in Vietnam. I am glad to have met them. I really miss Vietnam!

Mid Autumn Festival @ Vietnam

Do you know Vietnamese people also celebrate Mid Autumn Festival?

Similar to our Chinese cultures, Mid Autumn Festival is being celebrated by Vietnamese people in a slightly similar way, with Mid Autumn Festival being the festival for the kids to have fun, with their masks, candy and party etc aside moon cake and lantern.

I celebrated moon cake festival with my host family and it is really a great moment to be with them, having a grand dinner with lots of moon cake and fruits playing chess and have fun together! ;)

I will miss the moment spent! ;)

Vietnamese cuisine

I really love the food in Vietnam. During my 1 month stay, I have come across many Vietnamese food which really pamper my taste bud.
Some of the Vietnamese food which appeal to me are as follows:

The first food which I have with my host family. Out of my surprise, it contains soft snail as one of the ingredients!

The nicest Bun Bo Tron near the Australian English Center where my host brother study English.

The pork with fish balls which cooked by my host family's mum.

The spaghetti.

The Vietnamese Spring Roll (Phở cuốn)

Sua Chua Mit ( The famous dessert with yoghurt, jack fruits and some jelly)
The popular breakfast in Vietnam ( Xoi Throng = Sticky rice with egg)

The Bun with Tau Kua and Fried Spring Roll, eaten best with its shrimp paste sauce

One of the popular dessert-- Sticky rice with ice cream!

I miss the food in Vietnam very much!

Getaway from Hanoi Bustling City--Perfume Pagoda

Taking boats down the Yen River, through the limestone cliffs to the base of the Perfume Mountain, where there is a 4 kilometer up-hill hike to the main Pagoda, what more hiking in a rain! But, a nice getaway from Hanoi bustling city.=)

Independence day of Vietnam

It is a great day for an outing just to see with our own the independence day celebration of Vietnam in the most historical place-- The Ho Chi Minh Mosoleum.

Hello Hanoi!

The area which I stayed is Tay Mo, Hanoi. it is pretty outskirt area, about more than 15 km to city center of Hanoi.

I know they have their own unspoken rules and able to stop and brakes immediately before hitting each other bikes, their braking system are strong and most of the bikes are Honda. But, the way they ride are totally out of the mind for a person who never been to Vietnam, it is really a shock!

I highly doubt whether I can able to fit in their 'unspoken rule' while riding at road, and beat the busy traffic conditions with them plus being nearly blurred and suffocated by the dusty air on the road, what more I am a first timer to ride a bike after been 4 year left over and not familiar with the route there.

It makes me when the OC insisted on me to learn to ride a bike to school which is quite far away, they speak as if Malaysians are also having the same traffic like in Hanoi! But I really salute their great motor biking skills.

I hope I can survive throughout my 1 month stay.
