Deactivated for 2 weeks

Well, would be deactivated for 2 weeks time, just because i am going back to Melaka to visit my grandmum.
there will no be any internet connection and i will be declared 'deactivated' for the 2 weeks time.LOL.

Working part time during semester break is not yet an important issue to me , i shall indeed spend more time to care for my grandmum, appreciate the time for being with her now.
Yes, i have worked allt his while at TARC and i don't think it is necessary for me to continue working till my semester start at July. Instead my decision told me that I shall reserve 1-2 weeks time to spend with my grandmum. And that is why i will be going to Melaka tomorrow.
By the time i updated my blog, it shall be another new semester for me XD. Can't wait to meet my fellow friends at UM!^^

Cheers!

Inspire you and me^^

2nd Year!

Time flies, after two weeks time, i will be on 2nd year!!can't believe that i have been at UM for 1 year already!^^ and during 2nd year, the subjects that i will be taking would be more onto Biochemistry. Exp are protein(Structure and Function), Metabolism 1( i can't believe i have to study this under 1 subject, gonna carzy with the cyles i guess),quantitaves biochem( More calculate and calculate, shouldn't be a problem for me i guess smile.gif ), pharmacology(I love this, so i particulary choose this over analytical biochem), Strutural and Biomolecules(I think i should be okay with this),and last but not least, biochemistry Practical(basically all about experiments and unending reports). of course there would be more and more subjects like Enzymes,Biochem Hormones,Nutritional Biochem etc which i am going to take on 4th semester.

Well, what i found biochem to be interesting is it involves life, All things from Plants , Animals,Human, Nutritions to Microorganisms. I believe by studying biochemistry, we could have a much more better understanding on life and how does life functions as well as its molecular functional aspects. I know even Psychologist, Criminolgist, physicians, biologist, chemist, sociologist are now looking into biochemical problem too. So this knwoledge is pretty much important in applying to quite wider range of aspects.

Well, I got to be well prepared to have my mind concentrated on the very 1sy semester of my second year!
Can't wait to meet my friends and to start me whole new senior life at UM^^

Management Trainees Programme

Well, this is some info about management trainee programme:
Manegement Trainees( MT ) is a great path for fresh graduate degree holder to join in as management level and even have the opportunity to be SAP profession for certain Consultant Company MT Program. MT accepts wide variety of discipline study from business to engineering. Actually, you can find alot of MT notices posted in Jobstreet offered by different companies. Although you join in as management trainee, your salary is indeed pleasant with around rm3k and even more. Somehow, their interviews is kinda strict and small amount will only be absorbed... besides results (Above 3.0 will has higher chance), they are looking for candidates who is able to communicate in fluent english, good personality, co-curicullar activities and it would be great if you have any part-time working experiences.

Investing in Unit Trust

A great piece of advices on investing in unit trust!

If you are looking for UT's which are suitable for you, suggest that you need to know about your risk tolerance first. There are many site which does a free risk profiling for you with questionnaires. Although this is somewhat inaccurate, at least you know where you stand. laugh.gif

After you are sure of your risk profile, then you can plan your holdings, ie. percentage of each fund/sector that you want to hold. Diversification is recommended so you do not lose everything if a fund tanks, especially a high risk funds. sweat.gif For me I am concentrated in Malaysia, Asia Pac ex Japan, a little europe and US with a sum in pure China & commodities. Bond and cash funds provide stability in my holdings.

To gauge which funds have relatively good performance, you may refer to charts available online at lipper or morningstar. For me i do not chase the best performer, rather those with consistent earnings and lose the LEAST during a recession. Preservation of capital is important for me. Read the fund fact sheet and annual reports. Be wary of high initial and annual fees.

For me, unfortunately i do not use DCA, i buy on weakness and sell on strength. DCA will get you on average performance, which if it is suitable for you, then go for it. Switching in UT is an important strategy, however you need to use it sparingly since there are massive charges involved (ie. pay a lot of initial charge). You may switch to rebalanced your portfolio, ie. sell those with high profit and move them to the least profit or to lower/increase your exposure to risks. I am now actively re balancing most of my equity portfolio to bonds on market out performance. laugh.gif

Don't just monitor NAV, you must also include the dividends you receive in calculating profits. You can check the nav at each respective UT site.

Piece of precious advice^^

Advices come in many ways. Advices are often given when you asked a right question.
Even some good advices are best to be analysed first before calling a move for it.

This is what i think when people give you advices.

1.When you doubt a certain question or having a dilemma of making your own decision.
2.When you are totally confused of your current status. Your status today might not be the one you like or fancy. you might be regretting all the way long. Like for instances, A feels that he has not maked a right decision by studying Biotech. He think that there is no room for his interest's advancements and having a bleak prospect if taking biotech. But somehow, he is unable to make any decision just because he gett he course which is not the one he really like. He doesn't have the will to make his decision, he follows what the UPU has given him. In other words, he follow his destiny, his fate. whatever goven to him, he just accepts.

This is kind of pathetic, isn't it? try to imagine a situation when you have lactose intolerance, you are stuck in your house with no waters left available but the only beverages left is milk. You don't have the choice to not taking milk or else you would be dehydrated.
Instead of letting yourself to be dehydrated, it is better to let yourself to have diarhea by taking milk, isn't it?
It is just like the situaution where you have only 2 choices left:
1. Go to the course that u have been granted.or else,
2. Start working.

Option 2 seems impossible for me, since i am all opting for further study. Unable to afford to choose any institutions to further my study in the courses that i want, i have to choose option 1.

I particularly like the advices given by an elite from LYN--fenzodahl512:
He deserves the title of an elite=)
Anyone has its own potential, but potential can never be translate into a sure thing.. Potential depends on many aspect including hardwork and luck..

A biochemist can make a lot of money depending on what they do.. The researchers who research something that can translate into profit will make a lot of money.

Let say if you're invented a biofuel that can be use in our modern and old car as a replacement for petroleum based product, you will be rich.. A lot of big corporates want to hire you, and to purchase your research as their rights.

Or if you manage to extract any ingredients from plants/bug/animal that can be used in medicine purpose, you'll gain fame..

Now, back to the prospect.. Lets face it.. Chemist do chemical test in labs.. The purpose might be different, some do research, QC, forensic testing, etc.. And industries need labs but just in minimal numbers, as the result will be used and reproduce for their future reference. Any new findings that leads to maximizing profit or reducing cost will be useful and appreciate. Anything else will be treated as waste of resources..

What industries really needs? Commercials.. That where the money comes from.. They must translate from research >> mass productions >> money.. The major chunk would be commercials (selling/marketing and so on)

Now, our government actually emphasizes in research, however, with limited fund and equipments, thus translates into lack of opportunities.. (unless you're a lecturer in any university that have grant to do some research) That's why I stated earlier, the prospect is quite low here in Malaysia but quite big in other developed countries..

And while those enterprise and industries will need biochemist, they only need them in minimal quantities.. We still got a lot of industries here, but not as much as China..

So, it won't surprise me if science students like us ends up working in totally different field.. We just simply need to adapt and master other knowledge of different field than we learn in universities/colleges..

Don't restrict yourself.. You can plan towards your future (and its best to do so) but you'll never know what will happen about two years from now.. The best thing is to do our best presently and strive for the best in the future..

I'm very glad to know you biggrin.gif

That's it. I will strike hard for my degree and follow my desired pathway, and make it a point for achieving what i want in my life.
Thanks for the piece of advice!=)

Trips to Gurney with friends

Before i might start to work at TARC next week(Hopefully i get called for the job ), What a relaxing and joyous day when i manage to invite friends to go for a movie after having not meet for quite some time.

I was rather surprised to meet Huei Deng today. We haven't meet for 2 years actually after SPM.
First thing to congratulate him is that he has become thin! XD

i wonder what the deal has he doing all this while. When asked about the secrets to make his body fit and thin, he just smiles with a reply of eating less.
Anyway, i would like to Congratz you for getting into NTU! I wish you all the best!=)
Well, i always wanted to keep my body fat and fit just because i am quite thin now, i considered myself to be slightly underweight, and so perhaps I shall eats more to complement my high metabolism. Should consider to increase the weight.=p
Besides watching A Team, a highly action movie, we stroll around Gurney Hotel, walk along the 'beach' near Gurney.
Two words to describe: Enjoyable and Fun! ^^

Fixed Deposit Vs Saving Plans

While i keep busy posting on LYN. suddenly here comes a Prviate Message. Upon clicking on it, it appears as :

Good Afternoon,

Before I begin, my name is Nigel-Ian, and I am an Insurance Agent representing Manulife Insurance Berhad.

Relating to your post in 'FD rates in Malaysia', I was wondering if you would like to go into Insurance Saving Plan, because I see that you have lots of knowledge to what is going on, hence I thought if this might gain your interest...

The Saving Plan that Manulife is offering requires you to save a minimum of RM5000 per annum, which can be saved annually, half yearly, quarterly or monthly, for only 5 years. The policy will run for the next 20 years.

For example, if you were to save RM5,200 a year for 5 years. It will sum up to RM26,000. At the end of the 20th year (maturity), you would have RM54,700. This is double of the amount saved.

This is just for your opinion and judgement if you do consider. However, sad to say, the company will be calling back this product by the end of the month.

Please do give me some feedback if possible as well?

However, if you do need more advice or questions, feel free to PM me, or even SMS me at +6 012 232 7428. No obligations whatsoever of course. Its just for your knowledge of whats in the market.
I admit that i heard of the company named Manulife, the Manulife Holdings Berhad is a member of Canada-based Manulife Financial Corporation, a leading Canadian-based financial services group.

Upon the power of GOOGLE, i realise that

Subsidiaries companies under Manulife Holdings Berhad are Manulife Insurance Berhad, Manulife Unit Trusts Berhad and Manulife Asset Management (Malaysia) Sdn. Bhd.

Manulife Holdings Berhad is listed on the Bursa Malaysia. Assets under management as at 31st December 2009 were over RM3.0 billion. But as a student, i don't think i have RM5k for me to do with this saving plans. Unless i am gonna to dig every penny out from my JPA scholarships account which i believe i am not gonna to do that just for the saving plans at present.

So i ask this person:

I usually don't aim for long terms saving plans, furthermore the time frame is too long for me.

While on the personal notes, i don't really get what are the differences between FD and saving plans? Could you roughly states the differences?

Thanks for the info btw. Hope you could refurnish me wih more information which i have requested.

His reply was:
FD, in my opinion, returns are less compared to savings plan. A saving plan may require u to lock your money longer than FD. In return, the returns u recieve will be more.

Secondly, savings plan comes with some protection. Although minimal, but it still is there.

Thirdly, it's like a forced savings. This is because, when u do look for money to buy something u like. For example, a car or a house, or even something small like a computer. Where is the 1st place you will look? The bank and FD.

So it comes down to, what is the purpose of the savings. If it's for your later years and to assure that you have enough 15 or 20 years down the line, then a savings plan is ideal. If It's merely to park your money aside to spend, then you are looking at FD.

So, the conclusion is I got to take time to consider that. it is a long term plan.
For a newbie like me, i believe there is lots more for me to be learnt up.
So i am here to learn to understand more on the finance, invesments and saving plans or whatever insurans.
This is the time for me to pick up the knowledge slowly.=)

Whole Grains and Organic Diet

Do you want to have a healthy heart? Well, studies have shown that those who choose a diet of carbohydrates and fiber source especially whole grains tend to have a healthy heart.

Perhaps, many have known earlier that unhealthy crabs which includes flour, refined sugar and white rice are food that have been stripped of all brans , fibre and nutrients.

They digest quickly and cause spike in blood sugar level and energy.

So , realising the importance of whole grains in our diet, we should try to reduce the intake of these unhealthy crabs and take more whole grains, beans and vegetables. This is because healthy crabs are digested slowly ,helping us feel full longer and keeping blood sugar and insulin level high.No wonder last time when i was taking a loaf of wholemeal bread, it make me feel full longer.=p

If you can't really get used to the whole grains diet? Don't worry i always suggest these people to try mixing grains ( Brown rice) in their white rice as a first step to switching to whole grains later.

Whole grains are very rich in phytochemicals and antioxidants which help to protect against heart disease cancers and diabetes.I always tell myself to have more whole grains like whole wheat, brown rice ,millet quinoa and barley instead of the normal white rice, flour and refined sugar.

To embrace a healthy living,i aim for choosing ORGANIC and WHOLE GRAINS. so far i have come across BioGreen company. It supplies various products:

Healthy Beverage Healthy Snacks Supplements Food Four Seasons Sauces Seasonings Natural Antibiotic Enzymes & Vinegar Prune Series Organic High Fibre Essential Fatty Acid Basic Healthy Food Other Product Healthy Equipment

Would aim for the Biogreen Soya Milk, because it uses 100% organic skin peeled soya beans and hence minimize the uric acid (gout) problem. (For your information, the skins of soya beans are acidic, toxic and high in purine.) Soya milk also contains soy Isoflavones which benefits women in hormone regulating and helps to reduce menopause symptoms( Good for my mum).=)

Bio Green contains all natural biobased ingredients that will cooperate with Mother Nature, I believe the slogan as always:

A new hope at TARC!

Well, it has been a month since i have gone through a whole lots of activities and trips .
So thinking of giving a try to apply for a job as a temporary assistant at TARC, it strike me to think would it be possible so for me to work for 1 month there? Unless they are very in need of urgent staffs. Or else i won't be called for the job .i asked myself why not give it a try since i still have 1 more month to go before my new semester start next month.

This morning i rang a phone call to TARC and spoke to Miss Yap, the HR concerned. And according to her, so far there is no vacancy available for Temporary Assistant.
Huh, upon hearing this, i quickly reply it would be fine if there is no any vacancy right at the moment with a feeling of a bit disappoitment. =.='
But then, she quickly reply me that one TA would be quiting soon, and that i would be likely employed by then. She promise to give me a call before next tuesday to confirm everything.

Ah! What a nice hope, thinking the possibility that i could work there again, YEAH... hoping for the good news to come=)

Is synthetic vitamins safe to consume?

There is somehow a good debates on the use of synthetic vitamins for those who really think that by consuming all those vitamins or any health supplemets , they will be medically fit.

Here again,i come across various opinions by youngkies, jerk and entrymen from LYN which i think everyone of us should really ponder.

I always believe that the public has the right to know about what they are putting into their mouth but could this backfire on the public?

Most of the time, when someone walks into a pharmacy, they are expecting some relieve for the symptoms they are experiencing. So as pharmacist, i believe the roles plyed by them is to ensure the right doses and the right prescriptions are to be given to them.

Entrymen quotes a good point there:

Research indicates that synthetic vitamins may actually cause nutritional deficiencies. When you take a synthetic vitamin, it needs the co-factors normally found in the whole food, in order to complete its action. If they are not in the foods you eat, it will draw the co-factors from your body. You may feel good for a while but when the co-factors run out, you will begin to feel worse. The prolonged action of the synthetics imitates the action of drugs; they over-stimulate rather than feed your body. Science does not even come close to duplicating nature. Many illnesses, pain and suffering are the result of our dietary ignorance.

Take Vitamin C, for example. The FDA has allowed ascorbic acid to be called Vitamin C. Ascorbic acid, however, is the anti-oxidant protector of the Vitamin C complex, much like the eggshell that protects the egg. The C complex consists of Vitamin P, J and K. Most people have not even heard of vitamins P or J. Vitamin J carries the oxygen and vitamin P is the anti-fragility factor. There is another element in whole food vitamin C called terrosenase, which is a copper enzyme. It is needed to make hemoglobin and prevents anemia. Ascorbic acid, on the other hand, is this chemical teased-out portion which is deficient in all these co-factors and will never have the effect that vitamin C has. It has no effect on the common cold or other conditions that vitamin C has. Studies show that people who eat a diet rich in vitamin C do much better than those taking ascorbic acid. In fact, the body has an enzyme that gets rid of ascorbic acid. Nature knew that we needed the egg and not the eggshell.

Vitamin E is similar. It also has an anti-oxidant protector called tocopherol. There are alpha-, beta-, gamma-, and delta-tocopherols. They protect the center of the vitamin, which is the mineral selenium. In addition to selenium, they also protect some essential fatty acid factors, which are needed to transport calcium. Many people who get muscle cramps rush out to get calcium when the problem is simply that they are taking high doses of this teased-out portion of vitamin E called tocopherol. The whole food form of vitamin E contains Vitamin F that moves calcium from the bloodstream to the tissue therefore preventing cramps. Also, involved in vitamin E are other E fractions that are important to heart health that synthetic E will have no effect on. Check your vitamin bottle. Natural vitamin E is d-tocopherol, while synthetic vitamin E is dl-tocopherol.

If any of these parts are missing, there is no vitamin C, no vitamin activity. When some of them are present, the body will draw on its own stores to make up the differences, so that the whole vitamin may be present. Only then will vitamin activity take place, provided that all other conditions and co-factors are present. Ascorbic acid is described merely as the "antioxidant wrapper" portion of vitamin C; ascorbic acid protects the functional parts of the vitamin from rapid oxidation or breakdown. (Somer p 58 "Vitamin C: A Lesson in Keeping An Open Mind" The Nutrition Report)

Over 90% of ascorbic acid in this country is manufactured at a facility in Nutley, New Jersey, owned by Hoffman-LaRoche, one of the world's biggest drug manufacturers (1 800 526 0189). Here ascorbic acid is made from a process involving cornstarch and volatile acids. Most U.S. vitamin companies then buy the bulk ascorbic acid from this single facility. After that, marketing takes over. Each company makes its own labels, its own claims, and its own formulations, each one claiming to have the superior form of vitamin C, even though it all came from the same place, and it's really not vitamin C at all.

The final decision is in their hand, as long as they are being informed.
Quotes from entrymen:
I agree with what you say that in the end it's still the customer's decision. However, the factors that influence his decisions, in this case, as referred to in the above quote in the spoiler, is due to gross misinformation. As I said I can't comment on the use in treating medical conditions, as I'm not qualified. I can only focus on the notion of synthetic vitamins being used widely to promote one's health and vitality, due to misinformation. So, as you mentioned above [The final decision is in their hand, as long as they are being informed], I believe it is necessary to provide accurate information on the potential risks of synthetic vitamins rather than letting it go and allowing these misinformed people to believe that multivitamins are 100% safe and beneficial.

Jerks then reply:

the misinformed society are a big part due to direct to consumer advertising and marketing. and to make it worse, not many knew the debate of synthetic vs organic if they exist. for now, they are still the minority.

a big part of those articles are foreign to me neither i am an expert in this field, so i am going to let it past for now. if i claim that the moon is made of cheese, i bet i could find some article online to support me. of course that is just an example.

http://www.agroservicesinternational.com/A...anic%20hoax.pdf
http://www.biblelife.org/organic.htm

take the pdf above as an example, when the mass amount of articles each with conflicting truth circulating online, how do you know which is the real one?

I really agree with that seeing the facts that always there is an conflict between the debates of organic versus the synthetic supplements.

let's put it into a scenario like this:
scenario 1: you are a pharmacist working alongside with the owner who is a pharmacist as well. If you refuse sales of synthetic vitamins, you might lose the job. conflict of interest.

scenario 2: customer comes in asking for a specific vitamins because he read an article on the newspaper, and that they are very good. you, the pharmacist is not to question his intelligence in making that decision.

Food nowadays are really tainted with all sorts of chemicals , growth hormones and peticides, the growing and preparations methods lead to low amount of nutrients present in the food. We all never know whether the food we taken either be it organic or non organic, is cleaned and free from all these contaminants. All these are very subjectives.
well, it stir me up to be a biochemist to do testing, analysis and improvements on the quality food concerned. XD

I Love Teaching!

I come across these rather inspiring pieces of shares from dreamer101:

I like to teach and I know that I can teach. I have the ability to UNDERSTAND complicated subject and explain it in a simple term. I can teach people beyond the subject. I have the ability to teach people to THINK.

I started tutor my classmate on math when I was in standard 2. And, I never stop teaching when I was in high school, college and so on. I am still teaching people in my works.

So, I do not dream to be a teacher. I love teaching and I just do it.

My POINT is this. Normally, if a person likes to educate someone, they will have plenty of formal and informal opportunity to do this by YOUR AGE. Now, if the person DO NOT actively seek out and perform at the opportunity, the LIKELIHOOD that the person like teaching is VERY LOW.

So, what is that you like on being a teacher?? Is it teaching?? If yes, what is STOPPING you to teach now??

If not,

A) How do you KNOW that you actually like to work as a teacher??

B) How do you KNOW that you KNOW how to teach??

I LOVE teaching. LOVE = doing something for FREE because you just LOVE it.

So, how you KNOW that you ACTUALLY like to be a teacher??

Dreamer
I love the quotes when he says love is doing something for free, and yes i do love teaching.
I don't mind about the pay or any remunerations that i would get from teaching. As long as i get the chance to educate a people , to mould them into a better thinking person, to inspire them in their lives, to let them aware the imporatance of education, that are my ultimates love for teaching.

Kudos to those who have the passion, interest and determinations in taking up lecturing tasks.
it is definetely a noble profession to mould a better thinking future generation.=)

Kudos! Educational Counselling!

Though i am now not somewhat into studying a degree in counselling or psychology, but i have the interest into this field, so i always take initiatives to join counselling society or any organisation activities on counselling aspects while undergoing my university life. So far i have joined one society (马大升学辅导组)which cater to post SPM and STPM students on providing them with information for the courses, IPTA and IPTS as well as the requirements needed for the admission into colleges/universities.Bbesides we do help them to discover their own interest in making their right choices in furthering their study.

All these skills of communicating and providing guidance are of paramount important and i have learnt much and pick up constantly through the activities that i have joined so far. The activities may range from organising an edu exhibition, organising a 3d2n camp, and it might be as simple as giving a one day educational talk to them.

Throughout all those activities, i always find it satisfying just because i have passion and interest in making it a success. Certain forces always drive me to do my best and that is always the old saying : where there is a will, there is a way.
In my own words, i would rather describe it as : if you have the passion and determination and u love to do it, then nothing is impossible, there is always a road open to those who have the right attitutes and who have the heart of doing it.

While during the various talks or any educational camp which i attend as a committee, students may often come to me ,asking about :
1.what courses to pursue?
2.which courses are the best and thus can earn much money in future?
3.which university is the most highly ranked in term of facilities and courses? eg: is engineering in UTM better than UM?
4.i don't know what courses shall i take after my SPM, my mum wants me to take medicine but i like engineering.

etc...etc....the questions never ends.

I understand my tasks are to collect and make available a wide range of educational and occupational information (for example, information about awards, scholarships and financial assistance programs) and with that information i can actually provide them with the comprehensive info that would benefit them.=)

The good thing is I always find it a pleasure to answer them, i love doing the task of providing them with the proper information and guidance on every possible questions that they may ask me. but i am not the one who can decide their final destiny( Decision). Bear in mind that the final decision is always on their hand, nobody can decide for them. My task is to help and assist them to see an overall and clearer picture on reaching their goals.

Well, the 全思 Camp(4th June -6th June) has bring me one message: 全升is a platform for me to discover, develop and to expand the network and work closely with various people to achieve the goal and missions to help students clearing their doubts with regards to any further study enquiries.
Most students look for in a university is the course offered, facilites, recognition and etc,and I believe our 马升's service would definetely allow them to make objective, systematic and informed decisions on these.=)

Kudos to all who shares with me the passions and interest during the 全思camp.
升学道路与你我相随!=)

Bukit Tinggi Plus Genting Trip

From 29th may to 30th May, i went to a trip to Bukit Tinggi and Genting Highlands .
Along the road to bukti tinngi, we took a taxi there, it is just real fit as 4 of us are taking one taxi.
it costs us around RM80( To Bukit Tinggi) and RM60( from Bukit Tinggi back to Genting). If is shared among 4 of us, each of us fork out RM30+ for the From 29th may to 30th May, i went to a trip to Bukit Tinggi and Genting Highlands .

it costs us around RM80( To Bukit Tinggi) and RM60( from Bukit Tinggi back to Genting). If is shared among 4 of us, easch of us fork out RM30+ for the

transportation fees. It is not expensive actually, as initially i was thinking of taking a bus there from Titiwangsa. i though the bus would go up to Bukit Tinggi, but i was wrong. There are no buses going up there. Luckily we did not take bus, if not, we are supposed to walk up the hills which is certainly impossible to reach. LOL.

So taking a taxi up there is really worth as it saves you the energy to walk and avoid the suffers from the sunburn. I can say it is IMPOSSIBLE to visit all the places of interest at Bukit Tinggi without a personal car there.
The taxi uncle is quite nice. He drives us to up to Bukit tinggi, to the French village , Japanese Tea House, etc.Waited us to visit the places for roughly an hours or two, take us for lunch along the road down from Bukit Tinggi. We have fried noodles, rice and it really makes us full because it is quite 'big sized'!haha, the taxis uncle even gives me a sikat of bananas after the lunch.LOL.

Right after the 3 hours trips to Bukit Tinggi and after the lunch we went straight to Genting Highland.Actually if you want to have extreme fun, you shouldn't just drop at B. Tinggi but if you are going to Gentng as well, it is a nice combo of trip.=) Somemore B tinggi and Genting are quite near to each other.

This resort is more to relaxing favorite ... it suits couple really! The scenery and the environment is cool and calm! the entrance fees is RM12 per person which i think it is quite worth.
It is a great place to take photo's , and there is a rabbit farm too !
There got Japanese culture garden and Frances culture town, quite nice.. I like the environment there , kinda peace and slow, esp when i got the chance to embrace the nature. =)

A nice trip with Vyian, Fuyong and Wei Li.=)

Wesak Celebration 28th May

Wesak Day is the most important and sacred day for Buddhists throughout the world who observe the day of the birth, enlightenment and the passing of Gautama Buddha.
Just before i went down to KL on 28th May that night, mum , brother and i have the chance to watch and enjoy a great 卫赛节游行(Actually, mum had the plan of going to watch as what she did every year)It starts as early as 6pm and we have watched the whole processions roughy 1 hour.It is really a great and spectacular view on seeing every Buddhism organisations and clubs to have their own' designated symbols' to display along the road.
More than 5,000 Buddhist devotees accompanied a procession of 69 decorated floats in conjunction of Wesak Day in Georgetown, Penang, Malaysia.

The grand float procession covers a 7 km route started from Malaysian Buddhist Association (MBA) at Burmah Road and passes through Pangkor Road, Kelawei Road,Burmah Lane, Burmah Road, Peel Avenue, Macalister Road, Anson Road and Madras Lane before returning to MBA.
